About Virtual Hand to Shoulder Institute, LLC

The Virtual Hand to Shoulder Institute is committed to expanding access to high-quality upper extremity rehabilitation services through its pro bono clinic. Directed by Mirella Deisher, OTD, MS, OTR/L, CHT, the clinic is currently offered through Cedar Crest College and serves individuals in Pennsylvania who do not have health insurance and are unable to access needed care through traditional channels.

With more than 25 years of experience in rehabilitation, Mirella has had the privilege of contributing to the field within respected organizations, working alongside world-class surgeons and highly skilled clinicians. Throughout this work, a consistent priority has been maximizing each patient’s recovery potential through thoughtful, evidence-based intervention.

The pro bono clinic reflects that same commitment to excellence in patient care. Services are grounded in scientific evidence and guided by high standards of clinical practice, while also recognizing the importance of individualized, whole-person care. Each patient is approached with attention to their unique needs, goals, and functional challenges, with the aim of supporting meaningful recovery and improved quality of life.

At this time, services are provided in person only through Cedar Crest College. The clinic is intended for patients who do not have health insurance. Those interested in learning more about eligibility or available services are encouraged to contact us for additional information.
